The Little Theatre
The Little Theatre
From 0 to 99 Years Old
After some wonderful experiments, since March 2023 the Piccolo Teatro has become a permanent theater workshop led by Giulietta De Bernardi. It is a space for sharing and collectively building cultural identity, where stories and desires can mingle and exchange, transforming into a participatory narrative that reflects the community from which it arises: Ostana and the Valle Po yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This cultural project aims to resist the abandonment of the village, a form of rootedness, while at the same time serving as a welcoming space for new inhabitants, because one enters a community through its stories. Through the sharing of past, present, and future narratives, theatrical art strengthens the identity of a community that reconnects through the language of bodies.
What are we? What am I? I am what I can touch, see, and feel. I am a body in relation to a space and to other bodies.
Which story, which fragment of myself do I want to share? Where am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going?
Starting from a shared dialogue with the participants, themes and stories are identified that give rise to a participatory dramaturgy, a collective expression of image, gesture, and multiple forms of expression.
In this way, the life experience of the individual becomes a shared creative experience. Through communication that begins with gesture and then moves to voice, a gathering space is created, a witness to a new identity that collects defeats, victories, utopias, and hopes. The Piccolo Teatro is open to everyone, from 0 to 99 years old.
