THE SUMMER SCHOOL OF "O"

Summer School of “O”

The Summer School of “O”

June, July, and August 2025

La Piccola BAO:
For young participants, the Piccola BAO — the children’s section of the Open Library of Ostana — will be available. Small as the name suggests, it is public and precious, made possible by donors who are also nationally recognized authors of children’s literature.

APi – Metamorphosis:
The guiding theme of all activities at the 2025 summer school will be APi – Metamorphosis.

Activities include:

  • Being in nature: Living as an active part of an ecosystem, learning to recognize and appreciate bees from an early age in Italian, Occitan, and other languages.
  • Reading: Exploring books about bees, their importance, and their biological functions, using the Piccola BAO catalog.
  • Drawing and observing bees: Understanding their form—from head to thorax and abdomen, antennas to stinger—through perception and artistic representation.
  • Singing and dancing among flowers: Listening to the gentle buzzing and observing the circular dance of bees.
  • Creating together: Building a small flower herbarium or a participatory alphabet, scientific yet emotional, to be shared as a collective material at the end of the summer.

MONVISO WORKSHOP – Activation of an Integrated System of Inclusive Cultural and Community Welfare Services for Young Families in the Mountain Area. Project No. 23388 funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU – PNRR – Strengthening Community Social Services and Infrastructure.”
