About us

Viso A Viso is a collective project that embraces, with enthusiasm and commitment, the challenge of contemporary mountain life and its habitability within a European dimension. It explores a model of culture-based regeneration, with a particular focus on young people.
With this vision, Viso A Viso develops projects, activities, and services for residents and visitors, generating new local economies: cultural and community welfare, hospitality, and sustainable, inclusive tourism.

Since April 2025, Viso A Viso has been a Green Flag of Legambiente.

burro

Viso is one of the names used for Monviso,
the mountain that majestically dominates our horizon.
Viso A Viso is our way of engaging with one another.

THE SCHOOL

OF "O"

The “O” School was founded in July 2022. It was created in response to the needs expressed by young families and has become the heart of the village, believing in children and their parents as the main protagonists of the ongoing regeneration process..

Experiences

Viso A Viso experiences are for everyone.
Wherever you are – in the Po Valley or in the Varaita Valley – let yourself be guided on a unique journey, full of nature, authentic connections, and unforgettable emotions.

The lands of MONVISO

A wonderful territory, straddling Italy and France, made up of environments ranging from the gentle hills of the valley floor to the rich high-altitude meadows, up to the 3,841 m of the imposing Stone King, Monviso, from whose slopes the Po River, Italy’s longest river, originates.

Our map

The map of Ostana is available for purchase at Lou Pourtoun.

A useful and carefully crafted tool to navigate the village’s hamlets: it includes the trails of the ancient Vie d’Oustano, with four short itineraries connecting the main hamlets and districts.
The map also indicates where to eat, where to stay, what to do, and where to find local products. Perfect for anyone who wants to explore Ostana authentically.
