Un Festival per i Teatri a cielo aperto nelle Terre Alte

Il Festival “Mountain Wave” nasce con l’obiettivo principale di creare un nuovo format di evento per la valorizzazione dei borghi montani quali teatri a cielo aperto, portando in primo piano il loro enorme potenziale di luoghi per la co-progettazione artistica e contesti ideali per lo sviluppo di un nuovo approccio integrato per la crescita socio-culturale delle comunità che li abitano.

Teatri quindi intesi come luoghi laboratorio e spazi performativi. MW Festival mira a raccogliere e ad amplificare l’onda delle storie dei singoli e della collettività , ma il suo w ave è anche quello dei nuovi contenuti teatrali e musicali che verranno co-prodotti durante l’evento. Il contrasto tra la “staticità” percepita della montagna ed il dinamismo dell’onda suggerisce qualcosa di nuovo, un paesaggio che si ripensa, uno spazio fisico e delle possibilità che si riformula in chiave culturale ma anche sociale ed economica, con un nuova energia.

Doppio il target primario di questa proposta: da un lato gli artisti di alto livello, dall’altro le comunità che abitano i borghi, con un’ attenzione particolare ai giovani imprenditori di aziende creativo-culturali . Dieci i partner che coopereranno per la realizzazione di MW e, attraverso questo, al rafforzamento dell’offerta culturale e turistica nei borghi montani, a partire dai Comuni di Ostana (CN), Saluzzo (CN) e Crevoladossola (VB).

Ostana, con la sua storia di esempio virtuoso di rigenerazione, è il cuore di MW, un festival con una proposta culturale di altissimo livello, ma anche un dispositivo per riabitare le Alpi, con l’obiettivo di avviare una trasformazione profonda nei luoghi, nelle comunità. In quest’ottica, i borghi alpini – quali attivatori di innovazione culturale – diventano protagonisti e chiave per la rinascita dei territori . Il Festival MW durerà quattro mesi, da giugno a settembre 2021 e vedrà coinvolti oltre ai partner, tre aziende co-finanziatrici ed i network di entrambi a livello regionale, nazionale ed europeo al fine di massimizzarne l’attrattività, la diffusione dei prodotti generati e l’impatto di MW.
