UNITA’s Rural Mobility (URM) offers internship opportunities (3 weeks or 2 months) for university students in an international setting.
For a month, students have the chance to share life, educational, and work experiences by living closely with the community and actively participating in various ongoing projects in the area.

The development of rural, mountainous, and cross-border areas within a European dimension is one of the core themes of the UNITA alliance, which strategically promotes new forms of mobility towards these territories.

As part of URM, following a pilot project in Ostana, Viso A Viso launched in 2021 the project “New Alpine Cultural Centers as Laboratories for the Future European University.”

Over the years, after the success of the first edition and with the expansion of local host partners, the positive impact of international students with proven skills in the territories has become evident, creating a win-win situation.
The presence of international students with competencies specifically identified and requested by the individual local hosts provides real support to the organizations operating in the Alpine valleys. Moreover, Rural Mobility offers students an extraordinary opportunity to gain work experience in unique, complex, and generative contexts. It is also invaluable for students to build relationships with local communities, beyond the urban environments in which they are usually immersed during their studies.
